"Coliseum" & "Frozen Lake"

I made around 8 environments earlier in the year which were quick studies. In fact each one of them were entirely built in Unreal Engine 4 in less than a day. Some of the studies inspired me quite a bit and taught me a few new tricks and I wanted to share the outcomes with anyone interested! There is a good chance one or two of these studies will become larger, detailed environments in the future!

Coliseum:
18 Hour Project
This was my 2nd one day study. I was heavily inspired by roman architecture and desired to make an arena that was similar to those found in Ryse: Son of Rome.

Adding in the godrays and sand particles was a nice way for me to bring in a little bit of a dynamic element to the shot. This is likely one of the studies I would like to continue into a full environment project.

Frozen lake:
14 Hour Project
This project was my chance to really play around with ice and snow materials. The color grading on this was essentially gives it an almost monochromatic look, with it's cold values and hues.
